An Interesting Meeting with Hari Baba of Jharkhand

He stays in a small village in Jharkhand, and was attending the annual Gita Yagya at Rambaba Ashram, near Jamshedpur. He is a very unique sadhu, always in a type of inner trance, not very aware of the outside around us.

The Glorious Departure of Radhakanta Das

Yesterday was the one year anniversary of the departure of one of our devotees, Radhakanta Das. He was a very hard worker for the ashram, and helped watch over most of the project work for the last 15 years. He would sit with the construction workers for hours each day in the hot sun and oversee every minor aspect of the work to make sure every thing was done properly with no waste.

Celebration of Makara Sankranti Festival at Dayalu Baba’s Ashram

Last month devotees from the Bhaktivedanta Ashram organized the annual Makara Sankranti festival at Dayalu Baba’s Ashram. This is the fourth year that we have helped to organize the festival. This year, for the three days of the festival, we fed over 5,000 devotees who came from all the nearby villages. For all three days there was nonstop cooking and distribution of spiritual food from 9 am till 9 pm.

170 Year Old Hanuman Das Baba: A Living Saint of Vrindavan

The following photos are of Hanuman Das Baba of Vrindavan, who may be one of the oldest living saints on earth. Once I asked this Baba how old he was. He Replied he could not remember his age, but recalled that he was 12 years old when Jhansi Rani fought the British. You can deduce his age from that. Jhansi Rani fought the British in 1857, so he would be around 170 years old.
